Persian-born Nasrin Asgari studied lied and oratorio at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria. Later on, she took singing classes with Rohangiz Yachmi. From 2000 to 2004, she completed her vocal studies at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and was awarded a master class scholarship at the "Festival Mitte Europa" in Hof, Germany. She also participated in master classes with Paul Esswood in Vienna and Thomas Tomaschke at the "Festival Mitte Europa" in Misslareuth.
In 2006, she completed her master studies in singing at the University for Music
and Performing Arts in Graz with Prof. Johanna Borowska. Nasrin Asgari graduated
in 2008 with distinction.
Nasrin Asgari appeared in the concertante première of DIE BEWEGUNG IN DER TIEFE DES WASSERS by Florian Gessler in the Minoritensaal in Graz and
sang at numerous concerts and masses in Vienna and Graz. In 2001, she sang Konstanze in Mozart's "ENTFÜHRUNG AUS DEM SERAIL" at the "Festival Mitte
Europa". After that, she was assigned the part of Mademoiselle Silberklang in Mozart's "DER SCHAUSPIELDIREKTOR" ("THE IMPRESARIO"); she participated in
the "Nannerl-Fest" in St. Gilgen and appeared as a soloist at the "Steirischer Herbst" festival in 2004 in a piece by Peter Lackner, together with the "Zeitfluss" ensemble. In Leoben, she sang in "Mozart Meine Liebe". Various opera projects include FIDELIO, IDOMENEO, CARMEN, at the Theater an der Wien and at the "Styriate" festival in Graz.
In the première of Juri Geworkian's opera TAROT at the Perchtoldsdorf Cultural Center she sang Nicole's part.
In 2007, she debuted as Despina in COSÍ FAN TUTTE at the "Theater im Palais" in Graz and as Papagena. Nasrin Asgari's concert travels have already taken her to London, Vancouver, Vienna, and Graz.
In 2008-2009, she performed in IDOMENEO at the "Styriarte" festival in Graz under Nikolaus Harnoncourt. For the current year, further concerts are planned in London and Vancouver. This summer, she will appear as Flora in TRAVIATA at the Kirchstätten Schlossfestival.
